All Aboard: Railway Club it was today

Published by Marc Sherwood at 2:01 pm under Lunch Reviews

There was a large group of us today with plans of hitting up Taste of Hon’s. We shocked when we got to the door and it was LOCKED. There was a sign on the door that appeared to be trying to let us know that they were closed for a few weeks in order to update their menu. Odd, but this again is Taste of Hon’s.

Greg acted fast to come up with a back up plan before the group went in to panic, which really could have only be seconds away. Railway Club.

Railway Club: De-Railed Burger

It was only a fraction of a second looking at the menu before this jumped off the page at me. Well the word BACON jumped off and that is all I need to decide. After I ordered something seemed off, and I had another look at the menu as I just was sure that this burger also had something evil about it.

No more than three minuets later my burger arrives at the table. First though; this looks good. Second thought; what are those chunks of stuff? BLUE CHEESE. What did I get myself into?

I decided to man up an eat it anyway. They would not have put this with bacon if they did not think it deserved it.

The first bite I felt like a kid who was being forced to eat waxed beans (yes mom if you are reading this, you scarred me with them). Almost holding my breath as to help avoid having to tasted what I was about to eat. I was shocked by the fact that I liked the taste. This turned out to be the item that made the burger (bacon, if you are reading this I am sorry for that).

The fries were good, and the beer was as well.

The only thing I would say about this place is that it has a certain funky smell to it. It really put me off at first, and I was wondering if I was going to be able to eat with the smell. My nose numbed to it quickly, and it was a non-issue.

Would I go back? You bet, and I would like to have more beer next time.
